Rewind to the third quarter of Nebraska’s 59-20 victory against South Dakota State, when the Huskers’ Randy Gregory intercepted a pass and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown.
Rick Kaczenski, Gregory’s position coach, didn’t hear the entire defensive call and thought Gregory was supposed to rush the passer instead of drop in coverage. So when Gregory came to the sideline, Kaczenski said he had done a nice job but he was “supposed to be rushing.”
