Marlen W. Hohnbaum, 90, Beaver Crossing, died Tuesday, Nov.  30, 2010 in Lincoln.

He was born June 25, 1920 in rural Friend.

Attended District #23 and a 1938 graduate Friend High School.

Life-long farmer, seed corn dealer and custom swathing. Served on Beaver Crossing Coop board of directors, lifetime member Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church, member Seward County Historical Society, former member Flowing Well Grange.

Survived by daughters and spouses, Marilyn (Randy) Kaliff, Utica, Leann (Steve) Turner, Lincoln; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Roy (Norma) Cast, Milford, Larry (Beverly) Cast, Grand Island, Wayne (Lisa) Cast, Princeton, MO; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Marian (Alan) Ruge, Panama, NE, Elaine (Ted) Phillips, Beaver Crossing; step-sons-in-law, Bill Kunert, Milford, Lloyd (Betty)Dawson, Bellvue; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Hohnbaum, Richmond, CA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Max and Marjorie Biltoft, Cocoa Beach, FL, Russell and Virginia Biltoft, Santa Clara, CA; nieces, nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; both wives, Anna Marie in 1975, Lois in 2008; sister, Martha Jensen; brothers, Myron and Roland Hohnbaum; step-daughters, Jean Kunert and Diane Dawson; brother-in-law, Charles Biltoft; sister-in-law, Ruby Smith.

Funeral service, 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 6, Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church, Rev. Betsy Galloway-Carew.  Burial of ashes, later date.  Visitation, Sunday, 2-8 pm, Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Beaver Crossing and one hour prior to service, church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials established to Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church.  Full obituary and condolences available at">
