Death, Ronnie James Naber, York resident, 70

Ronnie James Naber, age 70, of York, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Waverly. He was born March 8, 1942 at York to Alvin and Augusta (Blum) Naber.

Ronnie was a veteran having served in the US Army. He was the owner/operator of Naber’s Welding of York. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York and EAA, Chapter 1055.  

Ronnie was united in marriage to Charlotte Conard on July 11, 1965 at Waco. The union was blessed with a daughter, Teresa and son Troy. Charlotte passed away October 23, 1997 and  Ronnie later married Pat Buehrer on April 10, 1999.  

Survivors include his wife, Pat of York; daughter, Teresa (Larry) Erdkamp of Lincoln; son, Dr. Troy (Nancy) Naber of Papillion; grandchildren, Katelyn and Ethan Erdkamp of Lincoln and Elizabeth, Sarah Kate and Margaret Naber of Papillion.

Also surviving are step-children, Scott (Laura) Buehrer of Grand Junction, Colo., Jennie Buehrer of Marco Island, Fla. and Carla (Terry) King of Norman, Okla.; step-grandchildren, Emily and Tass Crow of Grand Junction, Colo. and Sydney, Mason, and Jaxon King of Norman, Okla. Ronnie also leaves behind two sisters, Mary Jane (Gary) Meradith of York and Jeannette (Roger) Jensen of Grand Island and one brother, Merle (Geraldine) Naber of York.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Augusta Naber; first wife Charlotte; one niece, one nephew; and one great-niece.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Mike Neidow officiating. Burial will be in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m.

Tuesday and all day Wednesday at Metz Mortuary. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Waverly Care Center or Meals on Wheels.
