Beyond the Basics of Selling on eBay® Workshop (noncredit)

Are you ready to take your eBay selling to the next level? Interested in starting an eBay business? In this class you will learn how to start and/or grow an eBay based business; choose the right listing format; create compelling listings; use eBay listing tools; open an eBay store; market your eBay business; manage your listings; pack and ship; and handle online payments. Join the 724,000 people in the U.S. that use selling on eBay as their primary or secondary source of income. If you liked the Basics of eBay Selling, you will love “eBay: Beyond the Basics.” An optional eBay workbook is available in class for $20. Tuition does not include meals. One hour lunch will be taken on your own. This is a lecture only, no computer will be used.

Classes for Kids!
Pottery for Parent and Preschoolers (noncredit)
May 29th – July 3rd (Thursday’s) 10:00-11:00a.m.
Whistle Stop Pottery, 125 E. 16th St., York
Tuition: $65
This class is offered to parents and toddlers 3-5 years of age and is especially designed to encourage creativity in the very young. Parents assist their children in making projects designed to create lasting memories. Children will learn to manipulate clay through pinch, coil and slab techniques. Wheel throwing will be demonstrated. Tuition includes use of equipment, glazing, and firing for both parent/preschooler. A fee of $12.00 payable to Instructor at the first class will be collected for purchase of clay (25 lb bag).
Children’s Pottery Ages 6-9 (noncredit)
May 28th – July 2nd (Wednesday’s) 1:00-2:00p.m.
Whistle Stop Pottery, 125 E. 16th St., York
Tuition: $65
Children will learn basic hand built methods by creating various items from clay. Techniques include pinch, coil, slab, and mold. Children will also learn how to use a potter’s wheel. See your child’s creativity emerge as they explore the fun of working with clay. Tuition includes use of equipment, glazing and firing. A fee of $12.00 payable to Instructor at the first class will be collected for purchase of clay (25 lb bag).
Children’s Pottery Ages 10-12 (noncredit)
May 28th – July 2nd (Wednesday’s) 3:00-4:00p.m.

Children learn the basics in pottery making with an emphasis on wheel throwing techniques. Handbill methods will also be explored through pinch, coil, mold, and slab techniques. Dog Obedience Class
June 24 – August 12th (Tuesday’s) 6:30-7:30p.m.
K-9 Coaching Center, 106 w. 4th St., York
Tuition: $70
During this fun 8 week session, you will learn to train your dog to be a better companion. Points covered are: to heel, to sit on command, to stand on command, to lie down, to come when called, and to become better socialized (how to handle a dog that lunges toward to away from other dogs or people). The first night is orientation – do NOT bring your dog. The last session is learning the proper dental hygiene for your dog and a special recognition for you and your dog. Your dog must be at least 4 months old and have proof of current vaccinations.

The Girls on the Run 5k Race/Walk is coming soon!
The New Balance Wondergirl 5K race is an annual national event celebrating Girls on the Run. There will be approximately 80 races nationwide participating in the Wondergirl 5k. We had 36 girls from York and Cross County schools participating in the spring session, and they are getting ready for the big day on Saturday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m. The 5k race is a fast and flat course that will start and finish on the York High School Track. The race is open to the public and all ages are invited to join the race. A raffle of New Balance gear will be held at the conclusion of the race. All proceeds will be donated to Girls on the Run of York County. Registration forms are available at Kilgore Library, Community Center, Community Ed Office, Gene Buhman-Ameritas or www.yorkgirlsontherun.org
