RISING CITY — Emma Rathje will be celebrating her 100th birthday with an open house on Sunday, August 10 from 2 - 4 p.m.

UTICA — Larry and Barb Barth will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on August 16, 1958 in Utica.

Mystery trips seem to be gaining in popularity with Fun Club members. We tested this idea out about 19 years ago and it was well received.  Thereafter, for a few years, we went with one such event annually. Now we arrange two per year (spring and fall) because of the extreme interest. Everyone seems to thoroughly enjoy these surprises.
