Hampton Lutheran School will present its annual musical Thursday and Friday nights, May 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. in the Hampton City Auditorium. The high energy performance tells the story of the life of Joseph.

Approximately 100 girls and boys ages 9-14 put their talents on the line Wednesday afternoon, competing in a variety of different events. The meet drew kids from Gresham, Stromsburg, Shelby, Waco, McCool, Seward, Fairmont, Benedict, Bruning, Geneva, Aurora, Osceola, Hampton, Bradshaw, Ohiowa, Milligan and probably a few others.

I’ve always been an “imitator” — I pick up on people’s physical tendencies and gestures, their catch phrases. And then, for entertainment purposes only, I act it out for them. We all get a kick out of it — but when I’m done, I always maintain that I don’t have any recurring motions or usual words that I use all the time.

There are several outstanding books about the war against terrorists I would highly recommend, Heroes Among Us by Major Chuck Larson, Moment of Truth in Iraq by Michael Yon, and House to House by Staff Sergeant David Bellavia.
