YORK – During this week’s meeting of York and Polk County citizens who say they are worried about the potential Keystone XL pipeline, Bold Nebraska leader Jane Kleeb expressed her concern over a closed meeting that was held recently between TransCanada, the Nebraska State Patrol and law enforcement officials who serve in areas along the proposed pipeline route.
“TransCanada made presentations, to inform local law enforcement officials how to use anti-terrorism tactics against people like me and you, people who participate in civil disobedience. We could have just sat on the sidelines, but we didn’t. We’re not terrorists, we’re just concerned citizens. We are not violent and we won’t be violent.”
