YORK – Bond has been set for Hannah Sabata, 19, of Stromsburg who has been accused of stealing a car and then robbing the Cornerstone Bank branch in Waco.
Judge Curtis Evans set bond for Sabata at $300,000, 10 percent.
He also set a preliminary hearing for Wednesday, Dec. 26.
Sabata was taken into custody last Wednesday, after surveillance photos were released to the public. The photos prompted numerous calls from the public, which led the sheriff’s department in her direction.
They also recovered the stolen vehicle in Buckley Park at Stromsburg. The license plates had been removed and deputies found a bracelet by the car with the words “I love Hannah.”
After Sabata was arrested, investigators searched her home. They say they recovered all but $30 of the stolen money.
It was later discovered that Sabata apparently created and posted an online video in which she declares she stole a car and robbed a bank, “using a gun, a pillow case and a note.”
In the video, she holds up large amounts of cash and indicates she “was having the best day of her life.”
