Becker named to Spring 2012 President’s List

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. —Dax Harrison Becker of York, majoring in Biomedical Equipment Technology, was named to the Spring 2012 President’s List at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, S.D. In order to become eligible for the President’s List, students must be full-time and have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the semester.

BryanLGH releases President’s List

LINCOLN — Bryan LGH College of Health Sciences has announced the President’s and Dean’s lists for the spring 2012 term. The President’s list is composed of students who are taking 12 credit hours or more and received a 4.0 GPA.

Kirby Newcomer, a senior in the nursing program, is on the President’s list. She is a 2008 graduate of Cross County Community School and the daughter of Mark and Marsha Newcomer of Stromsburg.

They also released the fall president’s and dean’s list, which included Lacey Huber, a freshman in the nursing program. She is on the President’s list. She is from Grafton and was a graduate of Sutton Public Schools. She is the daughter of Loraine and Patrice Huber of Grafton.

Northeast Community College President’s List named

NORFOLK – Officials at the Northeast Community College in Norfolk recently released the President’s Honor List for the spring semester.

To be named to the President’s Honor List, students must earn a perfect grade point average of 4.0 and be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours.

Named to the President’s List for full-time students were Levi Davenport of Fairmont and Logan Faller of York.

Dean’s list announced at Hastings College

HASTINGS – Hastings College has announced the Dean’s List for its 2012 spring semester.

To be eligible, students much achieve a grade point average of 3.7-4.0 and be registered for full-time course work.

Jennifer Harlow of York was included on the Dean’s List.

So was John DeWaard of Utica (with a designation of having a 4.0 grade point average).

Smith named to dean’s list

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – Elizabeth Smith of Grafton has been named to the dean’s list at Kirkwood Community College for the spring semester.

Students on the dean’s list have achieved a 3.3 grade point average or higher after completing 12 or more credit hours.

Schoenholz named to President’s List

GRAND ISLAND – Hilary Schoenholz of Geneva has been named to the President’s Honor List at Central Community College for the 2012 spring semester.

Students on the President’s Honor List earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average. They are enrolled full-time at one or more Central Community College locations, which include the Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses; Holdrege, Kearney and Lexington centers; and learning centers in about 60 central Nebraska towns.

Truman State announces vice-president’s list

KIRKSVILLE, MO – Truman State University has released the spring 2012 Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs’ list.

To qualify for this list, an undergraduate student must attain a semester 3.5-3.99 grade point average and must complete 12 hours of credit.

Wade Pelc of Stromsburg, a student in exercise science, was included on the list.

Concordia announces honors list

SEWARD – Concordia University has announced its term honors list for the second semester of the 2011-12 academic year.

The top 25 percent of undergraduate students who complete at least 12 credit hours qualify for the honors list.

The list includes Emily Hemphill and Jon Richters of Utica; Lindee Jackson of Fairmont; Marcus Ruhl of Exeter; Erienne Teselle and Morganne Woodburn of York; and Jacquelyn Uffelman of Waco.

Northwest announces spring 2012 graduates

MARYVILLE, MO — The Office of the Registrar and the Graduate School at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville have released the names of students who completed requirements for degrees at the conclusion of the 2012 spring trimester.

Megan Kuska of Exeter earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultural business.

Alex Hitz of York earned a bachelor of science degree in business management and marketing.

K State presents awards

MANHATTAN, KAN. — The spring 2012 semester was an outstanding one for more than 3,200 Kansas State University students who earned honors for their academic performance.

To qualify for semester honors, students must have earned a grade point average of 3.75 or above on at least 12 hours of graded course work. Students earning semester honors also receive commendations from their college dean, and the honors are recorded on their permanent academic records.

Area students earning semester honors were Anthony Rost of Utica and Samantha White of McCool Junction.

Leif earns honors at K-State

Wayne State announces Dean's List for academic achievement

WAYNE - More than 850 students at Wayne State College were named to the Dean's List for exemplary academic achievement during the past semester. Students listed on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester. An * denotes a 4.0 GPA for the term and appears before and after the name.

CCC-Grand Island announces Spring semester honor lists

GRAND ISLAND – Central Community College has announced the names of full-time students who earned spots on the President’s and Dean’s honor lists for the 2012 spring semester.

The students were enrolled at one or more CCC locations, which include the Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses; Holdrege, Kearney and Lexington centers; and learning centers in about 60 central Nebraska towns.

Students on the President’s Honor List earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average while students on the Dean’s Honor List earned a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99.

Students from the York area named to the President’s Honor List are:  Tiffany Anderson, Megan Huenefeld, Jennifer Moss and Warren Whelan all of Aurora; Whitney Brooke of Benedict; Margo Wurtz of Clarks; Mariah Bigelow of Milligan; Kristine Udey of Osceola and Amber Reed and Anna White both of Sutton.

Robb named to Dean's List

BROOKINGS, SD – Evan Scott Robb of York has been named to the dean's list for academic excellence during the Spring 2012 semester at South Dakota State University. To earn dean's list distinctions in SDSU's eight colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Robb is working toward a degree in the College of Pharmacy.

Andrews named to dean’s list

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Teesa Andrews, daughter of Linda Andrews of York, has been named to the fall 2011 Dean’s List at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. During the fall semester, Andrews was a freshman with a major in chemistry education.

Full-time students who have earned a grade point average of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale are eligible to be on the Dean’s List.

Students qualify for Chadron dean’s list

CHADRON – Kira Stuhr of Bradshaw and Brittany Wellman of Waco were among 226 students to qualify for Chadron State College’s spring 2012 dean’s list.

In order to qualify, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and be enrolled in 12 hours of coursework.

Stromsburg student named to president’s list

CHADRON – Wade Kopetzky of Stromsburg qualified for the spring 2012 president’s list at Chadron State College.

The president’s list, which requires all As, consists of 226 names. Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester to qualify.

Peru State announces Dean’s List

PERU – Trisha Gewecke, a sophomore from Geneva; Destiny Shipman, a senior from Geneva; and Todd Ostmeyer, a senior from Osceola, have been included in Peru State’s 2012 spring dean’s list.

To make the dean’s list, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 of higher for the semester, have completed at least 12 college credit hours during the semester and have no incomplete grades for the semester.

Locals named to Creighton dean’s list

OMAHA – The following students from the area were named to the spring dean’s list at Creighton University: Christian Widhalm of Aurora, a junior College of Business student; Lauren Klute of Bradshaw, a senior College of Arts and Sciences student; Jessica Luethje of Bradshaw, a third-year School of Pharmacy and Health Professions student; Clint Kroeker of Hampton, a junior College of Arts and Sciences student; and Sylvia Bartell of Sutton, a senior College of Arts and Sciences student.

Full-time students who earn a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the dean’s honor roll.
