Junior exhibitors show National Champion Shorthorns

2010 National Junior Shorthorn Show & Conference held in East Lansing, Mich.

EAST LANSING, Mich. —  Junior Shorthorn exhibitors from 24 states, arrived in East Lansing, Mich., over the week of June 21-26 to enter the “Cattle on Campus” themed 2010 National Junior Shorthorn Show & Conference. A total of 428 head of cattle, were exhibited at the Michigan State University (MSU) grounds competing in eight different shows: Owned Purebred Females, Bred & Owned Females, Bred & Owned Bulls, Purebred Cow/Calf Pairs, ShorthornPlus Cow/Calf Pairs, Purebred Steers, ShorthornPlus Steers, and ShorthornPlus Females. Evaluating the owned shows was father son team, Jeff and Jared Bedwell of Okla., and assessing the bred and owned shows was Blake Bloomberg of Okla.

Kane Aegerter of Seward, Neb., showed the Reserve National Champion Shorthorn Female, Sull Salute Destiny 9001, a May 2009 daughter of Sull GNCC Salute 532R ET and WHR V8 Destiny Choice 3948. Aegerter’s female was also the Champion Division III Female.
