The city council will be considering a lease/purchase of a new ambulance for the York Fire Department during their regular meeting Thursday night.
According to Jack Vavra, city administrator, the ambulance purchase is already included in this year’s budget.
The net price of the ambulance is $133,925. With a down payment of $36,925, $97,460 would be paid over three years.
In other business:
• The council will convene as a Community Redevelopment Authority to consider a request for Tax Increment Financing from Jon Strong, doing business as Self Storage of York.
• Members of the board will consider the issuance of water refunding bonds. This process would allow the city to call in current bonds and issue new ones at a lower interest rate.
• They will also look at a number of registered warrants from Kirkham Michael regarding engineering work connected to sanitary sewer and water districts for the new housing subdivisions, Karashow Ridge and Peters Sunrise Estates.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m., in the council chambers.
