The Bradshaw Rural Fire Department will be celebrating its 100 anniversary this weekend during Bradshaw Days. A firefighters' reunion is planned for Friday night, July 25 at 8 p.m.

After recent rains drowned out Bill Winkelman's soybean crop for the second time his "friends" decided to razz him a bit by placing a fisherman in the middle of the lake that was once a field of beans.

Anyone wishing to sell extra garden produce, baked goods or  handmade items is invited to join in the fun at  the Fairmont Farmer's Market Saturday mornings downtown.

Fairmont youth have been enjoying weekly summer art workshops at the library thanks to a grant from the Mary Tous Foundation.

Waco Western Days brought a bit of the old west and some good old fashioned fun to town. Area residents enjoyed numerous activities including a Chisolm Trail Parade and chuckwagon barbecue Saturday.
