Fairmont, NE —

The Fairmont Farmers Market is free ... everyone is welcome to come on down to the Fillmore County town and sell excess garden produce and homemade items.
Ivan and Holly Davenport of the Family Market welcome vendors. The couple feels it’s great to have activity in downtown Fairmont.
Marget invites others to join her and says she and Bea Snodgrass sold out rather quickly last week. Snodgrass has her famous flax muffins and snickerdoodles for sale. Marget herself has been selling handmade rag rugs, baby blankets and bibs along with miniature loaves of homemade banana and zucchini breads.
According to Marget, interested folks should just “show up and set up. With the price of gas it’s nice to be able to get these things at home.”
On Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. until noon Marget sells from a table set out in front of the Fairmont Public Library. The Market takes place along Sixth Avenue downtown. Persons with questions about getting in on the fun of the Farmers Market are invited to call the Davenports (Ivan or Holly) at 402-268-2211.
