Virginia “June” Ditloff age 89 of rural Bradshaw died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Stromsburg.
She was born June 1, 1919 in York County to William “Mac” and Lily (Briggs) Lemmon and graduated from Bradshaw High School. After high school June attended beauty school in Lincoln and then she returned to the York area to work for numerous years. June was an active member of the Arborville United Church of Christ, the Missionary Aid Society, the Extension Board in York and enjoyed helping with 4-H projects over the years. She also enjoyed working in her garden and visiting with her friends in the Birthday Club.
On November 21, 1954 she was married to George E. Ditloff at the Harmony Church at  Bradshaw.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis and his wife Shari of Bradshaw and Mark of Duncan. Her grandchildren include Lance Ditloff of Duncan, Matthew and his wife Kevyn Ditloff of Bradshaw, Krystal Ditloff of Polk and Joseph Ditloff of Bradshaw. Also surviving are two sisters Margaret and her husband Rueben Wiemer of Fairmont and Janice Anderson of Longmont, CO and her brother in law Delphin Wiemer of York.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her son and seven sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Arborville United Church of Christ near Polk with the Reverend Suzanne Harland officiating. Burial will be in the Arborville Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Diabetes Research, the Alzheimer’s Unit at Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg or to the Arborville United Church of Christ.
Visitation begins after 1:00 p.m. Monday and then greet friends later that evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
