Brian "Radar" L. Boye, Sr., 59, of Stromsburg, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at his home.
Memorial services will be held Friday, May 9, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg with Pastor Dick Woolard officiating. Inurnment will be in the Stromsburg Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by the Stromsburg Legion Post #132. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
Brian was born June 23, 1948 to Fred Rudolph and Bernadine Marie (Mattson) Boye, Sr. in Milbank, S.D. He attended elementary school in Willmar, Minn., and attended high school in Stromsburg, graduating in 1966. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served as a medical corpsman.
Brian was united in marriage, and to this union two children were born.
Survivors include his children, Brian Lee (Jodie) Boye Jr., of Lee Summit, Mo., and DVM Corry (Justin) Key of Vanburen, Ark.; three grandchildren, Riley Boye, Jackson Boye and Noah Key; four brothers, Larry (Glenda) Boye of Stevensville, Mont., Lance (Deb) Boye of Lincoln, Brett (Patti) Boye of Duncan, Fred Boye Jr. of Ashland; three sisters, Toni Shipley of Hamilton, Mont., Lynette (Tom) McKinnon of Chuquak, Ark., and Kim Schaefer of Columbus; one half-brother, Robert (Shirley) Boye of Overland Park, Ill.; 28 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bernadine Boye, Sr.; five half-brothers; and one half-sister.
