Evelyn F. Rosenkoetter, 77, of Grand Island, NE died May 4, 2008 at the Nebraska Veterans Home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Peace Lutheran Church in Grand Island with Pastor Michael Reiners officiating.  Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. 
Visitation will be Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 5-7.
Mrs. Rosenkoetter was born on August 17, 1930 in Grand Island, the daughter of August and Addie (Klein) Langenheder. 
Survivors are two daughters, Linda and Patrick O’Brien of Bradshaw, NE and Susan and Dale Boyd of Grand Island; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Delores Langenheder of Grand Island and a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Tom Carmin of Doniphan.
Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Molly O’Brien and her fiancé, Gavin Geis of Omaha and Daniel O’Brien of Bradshaw.
Her parents and her husband, Eugene Rosenkoetter, preceded her in death.
Evelyn grew up in Grand Island, receiving her education at country school and graduated from GISH in 1948.  She entered the United States Air Force on August 16, 1949, serving during the Korean War. She and Eugene were united in marriage on September 20, 1956 in Manhattan, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in Grand Island.
Evelyn was employed by Nebraska Transpost for 14 years and for Fair Acres Dairy for 26 years.  She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, the Shalom Circle of the LWML, the VFW, the Platt Deutsche and the Saddle Club.  She enjoyed bowling, camping and sewing.
Memorials are suggested to the Peace Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
