Obituary: Barbara L. Dewey

Barbara L. Dewey, 72, of York, formerly of Fairbury, died May 11, 2008 at York General Hearthstone.
She was born in Fairbury July 10, 1935.
Survivors are sons: Michael Dewey of York and Scott Dewey of York; daughter, Cindy Dewey of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Paige Dewey and Tyler Dewey; brother, Jim (Judy) Hunt of Hebron; sister, Audrey (Gerald) Hansmire of Seattle, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Georgia (Thompson) Hunt; husband, Delbert; sister, Jackie; daughter, Debbie.
Services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home Chapel in Fairbury with Father Kenneth Hoesing officiating. Burial will be at the Fairbury Cemetery, Fairbury. Memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church, in care of Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home, 2414 “H” St., Box 15, Fairbury, NE, 68352. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 14 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home Chapel in Fairbury.
