Willard P. “Bill” Eddy, 95, of York, formerly of Norfolk, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at York.
He was united in marriage to Myrtle Germain on Aug. 31, 1933 in Kansas and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Bill was a seedsman with Griswald Seed Co. in Norfolk for more than 50 years. During his years in Norfolk, he served on the city council for 17 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in York, the American Legion and the Sesostris Shriners. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, target shooting and working in his garage.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, of York; daughter-in-law, Ann Eddy, of York; granddaughter, Erica Eddy, and her husband Stuart Hansen of Racine, Wis.; two nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis and brother Ray.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in York with the Reverend Michael Eickhoff officiating. Burial will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Pawnee City Cemetery in Pawnee City. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., Thursday at the mortuary. 
Memorials may be directed to the church, Sesostris Shriners or the donor’s choice.
