James F. (Jim) White, 86, of Osceola died Friday May 9, 2008 at Good Samaritan Home in Osceola.  
Jim enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and he was known for his dedicated work ethics. He had an endearing smile and a perpetual twinkle in his eyes. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 
He was born Sept. 11, 1922 in Houston, to John B. and Mary (Morrisey) White.
Jaime attended school at Dist. 42 in Houston. He resided in the Lushton area before moving to York. He spent the remainder of his life residing at the Good Samaritan Home in Osceola where he worked as groundskeeper and helped with maintenance of the facility.   
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Betty Plugge of Columbus; his brother, John B White of McCool; sisters, Dorothy Flagalle and Margie Johnson of Colorado.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Dale Plugge, Columbus; sister-in-law, Theo White of McCool Jct.; niece, and husband, Bob and LaMoine Roth of York; nephews, spouses and their children, Dick, Ernie and Andy Flagolle of Colorado, Johnny White of California and Greg Plugge of Nebraska; nieces and their spouses, Julie Phares/Prockaska, Delores Luebbe and Linda Davis of Colorado; and good friends, Eric and Lynn Pomeroy of Stromsburg and Jerry Thelen, Osceola.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Osceola. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery at York, immediately following. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to Good Samaritan Home Osceola.
