York, NE —
The Dana Viking defense did it’s job Tuesday evening, holding the York College Men’s Soccer team to just three shots on goal, en-route to a 2-0 win.
The Vikings got the scoring started with around 10 minutes gone in the second half as the York College defense lost Matt Cross and he took advantage of an open opportunity to get the ball past Panther keeper Keith Manley.
The scored stayed at 1-0 until the 73:57 mark when the Vikings put a little frosting on the cake with a goal off a corner kick by Matt McConnell.
York’s Manley finished the game with 10 saves on 11 shots by the Dana offense.
The Panthers (0-2) are back in action Saturday, Sept. 6 at Lindsborg, KS with the game scheduled to get underway at 2:00 p.m.
