T-Wolves Q six for State

 On Wednesday the Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves earned six tickets to next weeks State Track Meet at Omaha Burke Stadium in Omaha, NE.
Both the girls and the boys track teams placed three athletes, each at the Class D Meet which opens Friday May 16 and goes through Saturday May 17.
In the team races, the Timberwolves took third in the girls battle, as Meridian walked away with the District championship with 95.5 points, with second place to Falls City Sacred Heart with 83.5. The Exeter-Milligan girls finished with 79.5 points and fourth went to Diller-Odell scoring 74.5.
The boys title went to Pawnee City with 164, second saw Sterling back nearly 100 points at 69, Parkview Christian was third 65, while the Timberwolves took fourth with 59.
Strong performances were turned in by Kayti Mark and Marcus Ruhl as both qualified in three events each.
Mark will be trying to earn a state medals in the pole vault, where she qualified first with a jump of 10-1, in the high jump where she took second with a jump of 5-1, and the 300 meter low hurdles, where her 51.40 earned her a second place.
Ruhl, a senior won both the 110 HH and the 300 IH hurdles with times of 15.80 and 41.40 respectively. He also took second in the high jump where he cleared 6-0.
Other qualifiers for the “T-Wolves” included, Cassandra Harre in both the 100 and 200 meter dash events. Harre a freshman finished second in the district with a time of 12.9 in the 100, and 27.10 in the 200 race. In the 1600 meter race, Heather Pribyl ran a 5:50.90 to take second and join her teammates next weekend at the state meet.
In the boys 100 meter dash, Ryan Harre was clocked at 11.4 and that won the event, while Jacob Miller took third in the pole vault, but his jump of 12-0 is an automatic qualifying mark.
The Class D portion of the Nebraska State Track Meet gets underway at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning.
