York, NE —

Mother Nature forced the Dana at York College Women’s soccer game to be moved from East Hill Park to the Cornerstone Complex, but not even a soggy track could slow down the Dana College offense in the first half.
The Vikings scored four times in a span of 27 minutes to pretty much put the game on ice, as their trip from Blair was well worthwhile with a 4-0 win.
York who lost 8-1 at Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday was hoping to make some defensive adjustments, but that didn’t exactly seem to be the case in the first half.
Dana would get all the scoring they would need at the 12 minute mark of the first 45 minute session when Michelle Miller scored, and eight minutes later Samantha Flowers added another goal for good measure.
Dana kept the offensive onslaught going as they scored at the 22 minute and 39 minute mark to lead 4-0 at the break.
York’s offense did not record a shot on goal and keeper Jordan Veness was busy with 23 keeper saves on the afternoon.
The Panthers fall to (0-2) on the year and will travel to Park City, UT this weekend for two games. The YC women meet San Diego Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, and then conclude their road trip with a 1:30 p.m. game against Cascade College on Saturday.
