The usual bar of soap or jug of Gatorade to enter the event was changed to a free will donation for injured York football player Kody Killion who is currently recupperating at Madonna in Lincoln.
Prior to the start of the York High Scrimmage, Kody’s older sister Katlynn addressed the crowd and  said that Kody is getting a little better each day and he would rather be here than at the hospital.

The York cheerleaders were selling goodies at the game and their was even a table where T-Shirts were being sold.

As for the scrimmage the No. 1 offense took the opening drive and marched right down the field to a score. The touchdown came on a busted play when quarterback Eric Brouillette fumbled the snap from the 2-yard line but was still able to recover and cross the goal line.

On the next series the No. 1 offense ran the two minute drill from their own 25-yard line and marched 75 yards in just 36 seconds for the score.

Approximately 200 fans showed up for the game and the fund raiser.

It all starts for real next Friday in Grand Island as the Dukes and the Vikings will kick it off at 7:00 p.m.
