Freshman Brynn Hirschfeld was the driving force behind the York girls’ track performance at the Central Conference meet Saturday at Columbus Lakeview High School. Hirschfeld was the conference champ in the 800- and 1600-meter runs, finishing in times of 2 minutes, 20.46 seconds (which is a personal best) and 5:29.48, respectively. That wasn’t it Hirschfeld on Saturday, either. The freshman was runner-up in the long jump, too, with a mark of 16 feet, 3 inches. Hirschfeld scored 28 of York’s 47.33 points.
