HORDVILLE – Allison Marie Veburg and Joey Charles Leinen exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, October 27, 2018 Fridhem Lutheran Church in Hordville with Rev. Ruth Boettcher officiating.

Parents of the couple are Walden and Patricia Veburg of Hordville and Dennis and Denise Leinen of York. Special guests at the wedding included the couples grandmothers, Delores Veburg and Evelyn Hicks.

The Matron of Honor was Mary Falland of Boardman, Ore. and Bridesmaids were Tamara Hans of Clarks, Carlee Connot of Norfolk, Brandy Sundberg of Eugene, Ore. and Taylor Kerkman of Papillion. Junior Bridesmaids were Taya Hans of Clarks, Jaycee Connot of Norfolk and Ella Dittmer of Tilden.

Serving as Flower Girls were Charli Hans of Clarks, Collins Connot of Norfolk and Hattie Dittmer of Tilden.

Cooper Connot of Norfolk was the Ring Bearer.

Danny Dutmer of Denton, Texas was the Best Man and Groomsmen included Spencer Huff of Lincoln, Josh Leinen of Lincoln, Matthew Veburg of Hordville and Jess Gaver of York.

Ushers were Chris Prince of Portland, Ore. and Ryan Robotham of York.

Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Ann Blase, pianist Sue Connot, vocalist Natalie Dittmer and the reader was Brendan Dittmer.

A reception was held at the Hordville Event Center in Hordville with live music provided by Free Beer and Chicken out of Superior.

The couple is planning a honeymoon trip to San Diego, Calif. in May of 2019 and are currently at home in York.

The bride was a 2008 High Plains Community School graduate and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Social Sciences in 2012 from the University of Nebraska – Kearney. She is currently employed as the 7-12 Social Sciences teacher at Sutton Public Schools. The groom is a 2005 graduate of York High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in K-12 PE and 7-12 History from York College in 2010. He is currently employed as a Production Manager at York Cold Storage in York.
