Derek and Klaire Jagels

Happy first anniversary to Klaire Marie Jorgensen and Derek Mark Jagels who were married Dec. 6, 2014, in Geneva.

Their 10-year courtship included time spent in churches, schools, barns, fields, stages, offices, planes, trains, automobiles and on many roads along with life changes of high school, college, first jobs, second jobs and beyond.

Parents of the couple are Kelvin and Marsha Jorgensen of Exeter and Mark and Susanne Jagels of Davenport.

Their wedding party included maid of honor, Claire Volk of Colorado; matron of honor, Lindsey Mueller Johnson of Kansas; bridesmaids, Katie Keiser Jorgensen of Exeter, Megan Kuska White of Exeter and Kristen Clarke of Kansas; best men were Jason Jagels of Davenport and Brett Jagels of Kearney; groomsmen, Kellen Jorgensen of Exeter, Joe Holoubek of Iowa and Dr. Kyle Clymer of Aurora. Ushering in their guests were Ross Volkmer, Reiss Bruning, Marcus Ruhl  and Chase Holoubek.

Hosting their reception were Dean and Kathy Due of Exeter, Ruth Pohl of York, Kent and Ronda Jorgensen of Giltner, Gary and Kristi Jagels of Norfolk, Ron and Rona Volkmer of Carlton, Jan and Dave Motz of Michigan and Clark and Leslie Volk of Bennington.

KSU/Alpha Chi Omega Alumna Jaymee Wright, Melissa Rose, Randi Black, Julia Barnhart, Courtney Taylor and Nicole Chaska assisted with candles and guestbook. Katie Kaliff, Angela Ruhl, Laura Holoubek and Heather Oentrich handed out programs.

Their reception, dinner and dance was held at the Holthus Convention Center in York.

Don Hutchens of Lincoln announced the wedding party.

Reception dessert hosts were Kurt and Stacy Maahs, Glen and Lindsey Jagels, Doris and Audrey DeWald, Kim and Dave Ochsner and Bob and Jeanette Volk.

Klaire and Derek are at home in Geneva. Klaire is employed by Dow Agrosciences at Mycogen in York and Derek is employed by A.G.P. in Hastings.

Everyone wishes them many more happy years together.
