Connor and Alyssa Zumpfe

Alyssa Jean Stanek and Connor James Zumpfe exchanged wedding vows on July 23, 2016.

Fr. Matthew Vandewalle, along with Msgr. Paul Witt, officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony, held at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso.

Parents of the couple are Steve and Amy Stanek of Valparaiso, and Allan and Angie Zumpfe of York.  Grandparents of the bride are Leonard and Darlene Stanek of Valparaiso, and Leland and Carol Swanson of Lincoln.  Grandparents of the groom are Adolf and Erma Zumpfe of Friend, Sue Crisler of Lincoln, and Delbert and Loraine Rogers of Franklin.

The maid of honor was Kayla Mika. Serving as bridesmaids were Mackenzie Ashton, Alexa Rosenau, Carsyn Zumpfe  Makayla Westphal, Tara Trede and Bailey Archibald. The best man was Drew Danielson. Serving as groomsmen were Colton Zumpfe, Cade Zumpfe, Andrew Stanek, Derek Hord, Jake Bianco and Seth Wardyn. Serving as ushers were Allen Stanek, Landon Rhodes, Tyler Francis and Nicholas Eller. The flower girl was Aaliyah Fant and the ring bearer was Zaden Von Busch. Laura Mcdougall, and Nicolas Eller provided music for the ceremony. Host and hostesses were Larry and Nancy Chapek and Steve and Cathy Rhodes. Taking care of the guest book were Jenna Rhodes and Michelle Burbach. Jean Jochum served as reader. Bridal attendants were Sheila Stanek and Katelyn Walsh.

The reception, dinner and dance were held at the Holthus Convention Center in York following the ceremony.  The band ‘Side Step’ provided music.

The Bride is a 2011 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School, as well as Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2015. The Groom is a 2011 Graduate of York High School, as well as Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2015. The couple is currently attending UNMC, in Omaha, where they are both working towards their Doctorates of Physical Therapy degree. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Jamaica
