• On Wednesday, March 13 staff from Caring Friends in Home Care will be at the York Senior Center to discuss the importance of hydration relating to many different factors. The session will last about 20 minutes and will begin at 11 a.m. There will be an opportunity to ask questions afterward. All are welcome to attend. This is a re-scheduled event from February that was moved due to the weather.

• York General Hospital Cardiac Rehab and Wellness staff will be on hand at the York Senior Center on Wednesday, March 13 from 11:15 a.m. until noon for free blood pressure checks.

• The York Senior Center will host a Square Dance on Saturday, March 16 starting at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome to dance and/or watch.

• A Movie Monday Matinee featuring “The Shakiest Gun in the West” will take place on Monday, March 18 at 3 p.m. Come enjoy some laughs while watching on of the most admired and popular funnymen of all time, Don Knotts. Pizza will be ordered for those who want to stay afterwards.

• The York Senior Center will hold “Works In Progress” on Tuesday, March 19 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Come work on those unfinished projects amongst new and old friends.

• The York Senior Center will host it’s monthly fundraiser meal on Thursday, March 21. A beef stew dinner will be served from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Take out is available. All are welcome and free will donations are appreciated.

• The York Senior Center will hold “Works In Progress” on Tuesday, March 26 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Come work on those unfinished projects amongst new and old friends.

• Come and enjoy the voices of the K-8th graders from Trinity Lutheran School in Waco on Tuesday, March 26 from 10:30 – 11 a.m.

• The York Senior Center will hold their Potluck Lunch at noon on Tuesday, March 26. Everyone is invited to bring a main/side dish or dessert for all to enjoy.

• York General Hospital Physical Therapist Alysia Clark, DPT will present ‘Yard Work … the Safe Way’ on Wednesday, March 27 at 11 a.m. Alysia will be presenting and demonstrating safe ways to work in your garden, flower beds and yard this spring and summer.

• The York Area Senior Center will host a Spring Fashion Show on Sunday, March 31 starting at 2 p.m. Local gals will be modeling the latest fashions from both Kirtsey’s and Triple Crown Boutique that ladies 55 and older will enjoy and have fun wearing. Various items will be available for purchase after the show.
