YORK -- The Board of Directors of York General recently appointed a six-member advisory board. This advisory board will work with the board of directors along with Jim Ulrich, CEO, serving as the advisory board chair, to help ensure the future of strong local access to health care in York and the surrounding region.

Ulrich stated, “Advisory board members will provide guidance, input and support to the York General Board of Directors. Furthermore, this board will become familiar with York General’s organization, facilities and the healthcare services offered. They will also gain an awareness of the healthcare environment at a local, state, and national level and further understand the current challenges of the healthcare industry. With this broader understanding, we look forward to the input from this group to help us determine the needs and interests of the community for the healthcare facilities and programs that York General. As this board represents different interests across our community, we look forward to their new ideas and ways to meet the community’s changing needs. The advisory board will begin meeting in March and on a quarterly basis thereafter. I am excited these community members have agreed to serve, and I look forward to getting to know and working with each of them.”
