Biscuits and Gravy Feed in Benedict

BENEDICT -- The Benedict Community Sunday School will have its annual biscuits and gravy feed on Sunday, March 17. Serving will be from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Christian Women’s Connection to meet

AURORA -- Christian Women's Connection will meet on Tuesday, March 19 at 7 p.m. at Pleasant View (PVBC) located at 307 Manor Dr. in Aurora.

The meeting will feature “All Thing's Fancy" including wooden flowers by Nancy Ronnau of Marquette.

Just like you and me our Inspirational speaker for the night, Kris Driskill of Belton, Mo. is a former 'Director of the Universe" she will share the theme "Director of the Universe gives Up Control". Kris tells how she was able to give up the need to be in control and how you can have peace of mind, even when things seem to be out of control. From a worrier to a warrior, she does not like to be late and has now realized that God is in control of all things.

Mike Miller of York will entertain us with fun and inspirational songs.

Tasty dessert will be served.

Lenten service at Zion

BENEDICT -- A Lenten service, “God Helps Those Who Help Themselves,” will be held Wednesday, March 20, at Zion Lutheran Church. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m., and worship will start at 7 p.m.

Fish Fry at St. Patrick’s

UTICA -- A fish fry will be held Friday, March 22, at St. Patrick’s social hall in Utica. Serving will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Proceeds will go toward a new steeple and bell for the church.

Lenten service at Swede Home

STROMSBURG -- A Lenten service will be held at Swede Home on Wednesday, March 27. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m., and worship will start at 7 p.m.

UMC to serve meal at Mission

YORK -- The United Methodist Church will serve a meal at the Living Water Rescue Mission on Thursday, March 28.

Spring Clothing Giveaway

YORK -- A Spring Clothing Giveaway will be held at East Hill Church of Christ, located at 11th and Florida in York, on Saturday, March 30 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. Clothing will be available for men, women and children.

Joint service at Zion

BENEDICT -- The United Methodist Church and Zion Lutheran Church will have a church service on March 31 at Zion, starting at 8:15 a.m.

UMC free taco meal

BENEDICT -- The United Methodist Church will have a free community taco meal on Monday, April 1, at the church basement. The meal will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Divorce Care support group

YORK – A Divorce Care recovery seminar and support group will meet at East Hill Church of Christ, located at 1122 North Delaware Ave. in York, each Monday from Jan. 7 through April 8 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Divorce Care features nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Seminar sessions include: ‘Facing My Anger’, “Facing My Loneliness’, ‘New Relationships’, ‘KidCare’ and ‘Forgiveness’.

‘Loss & Healing’ gathering at First Presbyterian

YORK -- First Presbyterian Church hosts a gathering called "Loss & Healing." This group gathers every 1st and 3rd Monday at 7 p.m. in the church parlor. "Loss & Healing" is a grief support group which allows and encourages mutually shared feelings of loss but also affirms the presence of hope in order to regain and restore fullness of life. If you have experienced an intimate loss in the last few years it is our hope that you will consider being a part of this group. This is an open-ended invitation extending hand of hope and encouragement to those who have experienced loss of a loved one. ‘2nd Cup Café’ in Bradshaw

BRADSHAW -- The “2nd Cup Café” community coffee is held at the Bradshaw United Methodist Church fellowship hall each Thursday morning from 8:30-10 a.m. Proceeds from the weekly coffee benefit the Green Beans Coffee Co. program “Cup of Joe For a Joe,” which provides coffee for service personnel overseas. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy a cup of coffee and morning pastry.
