Hundreds of middle school and high school students from many states are in York this week, attending the 39th annual Soul Quest camp at York College.

YORK – Literally hundreds of young people are in York this week, at the York College campus and around town, as the historically successful youth rally “Soul Quest” is held.

Besides many events being held at the college campus itself, the youth moved out into the community Wednesday to offer community service in a number of ways, including washing cars, painting fire hydrants, picking up trash, doing yard work at the schools and parks, washing fire trucks and more.

Soul Quest is an annual camp for middle and high school students who come from many different states.

They attend many classes and activities, worship services and fellowship opportunities.

This is the 38th year that York College has hosted this large-scale gathering.

The spiritual gathering brings together kids from many diverse backgrounds, from both metro and rural areas.

The theme this year is “Limitless,” and guest speaker is Mitch Wilburn who is a minister with the Park Church of Christ in Tulsa, Okla.
