YORK – Terry Thornburg, 55, of Eagle has pleaded not guilty to first degree sexual assault of a child.

Thornburg, who is currently in custody in another jurisdiction for an unrelated case, was transported to York County District Court on Monday morning for arraignment proceedings.

This case was investigated by the York Police Department, according to court documents.

Very few details of the case can be published because of its sensitive nature; however, court documents indicate that the alleged victim was 14 years old and the alleged sexual assault took place in early December.

On Monday, District Judge James Stecker explained to Thornburg that he is charged with a Class 1B felony, which carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 years to life in prison if he is convicted.

A jury trial has been scheduled for mid-June.
