YORK – Alishia L. Adams, 29, of York, has pleaded no contest in a case involving the possession of methamphetamine.
Adams appeared in York County District Court this past week to change her plea as part of an agreement with the prosecution.
According to court documents, York Police officers received information regarding controlled substances and assisted in a search of a residence of a person who was on probation. During that search, officers said they found Adams in that residence, as well as used and unused needles among her property. When she was taken into custody, they also found a baggie of methamphetamine in her shoe and a needle in her pocket.
Originally, Adams was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction. In return for her no contest plea, the charges were amended to attempt of a Class 4 felony, which is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
She is now facing the possibility of one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
Sentencing has been set for May 3.
