Two people have been arrested in connection with the delivery of drugs to an inmate at the Lincoln Correctional Center, authorities said.

The Nebraska State Patrol said a 66-year-old Lincoln man was arrested on suspicion of providing contraband to an inmate. A 54-year-old Papillion woman was arrested on suspicion of aiding or abetting a felony, the patrol said.

Both arrests were made following an incident Wednesday at the correctional center, the patrol said.

Search warrants were also carried out on the homes of the man and the woman, with several items found that are related to the investigation, the patrol said.
