YORK – A jury trial for Terry Thornburg, 56, of Eagle, has been postponed until later this summer in a case where he is accused of first degree sexual assault of a Child.

It is alleged the assault took place in York County.

This case was investigated by the York Police Department, according to court documents.

Very few details of the case can be published because of its sensitive nature; however, court documents indicate that the alleged victim was 14 years old and the alleged sexual assault took place in early December, 2018.

If convicted, Thornburg could be facing a possible maximum sentence of 20 years to life in prison, as the charge is a Class 1B felony.

The York County Public Defender’s office has been assigned to the case and it is being prosecuted by York County Attorney Christopher Johnson.
