YORK – Reporting the final winners for area school boards remained a gray area Wednesday morning, as many districts cross over a number of counties.

As of Wednesday morning, many counties (including Seward, Fillmore, Hamilton and Polk) were not yet reporting their voting results – so the YNT is just reporting at this time the final results in York County alone.

That said, it appears safe to report that Kent Allen, Tammy Ott and Steven Stebbing were the winners of seats on the Heartland School Board. Allen and Ott were candidates on the ballot and Stebbing came in as an official write-in candidate. Two others were also official write-in candidates: Mark Perez and Connie Gage. The following were the results in York County: Allen, 575; Ott, 656; Perez, 106; Gage, 12; and Stebbing, 309.

There were three candidates seeking three seats on the York School Board. York County vote counts show Jim Hoffmann received 2,336 votes; Barb Skaden received 2,201; Alison Graham received 1,833; and there were 33 write-in votes with no official write-in candidates.

York County vote totals in the Centennial School Board race (with four seats open and four candidates) were as follows: Larry Paxson, 151; Jason Richters, 171; Douglas Tonniges, 185; Jodi Cast, 156; write-ins, 4.
