Ervin Craig Fuehrer, age 64 of Grafton, NE died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his home.
Ervin was in the salvage industry and he took much pride in scrapping over 150 missile silos and 8 command centers. Later he used many of the unique pieces he had acquired from doing this work in the construction of his home. He was a self-professed story teller and enjoyed teaching his family and friends the art of various handyman skills. He was dedicated to his community and would lend a hand whenever possible. Ervin and his green army jeep will be missed by all.
On November 1990 he was married to Bernice Scholine. Together they raised five daughters.
He is survived by his daughters; Mary (Trent) Hill of Surprise, AZ, Mindy Barney of Lincoln, NE, Amy (Isaac) Poland of Grafton, Marcia (Bo) Robinson of Sutton, NE and Janelle Fuehrer of Grafton and 11 grandchildren
Also surviving him are his siblings; Doug Preslicka of Bradshaw, NE, David Preslicka of Sidney, NE, Mel Preslicka of York, Earl Fuehrer of Benedict, Stephen Preslicka of Sidney, Rosalie Killian of Sidney, and Twila Fuehrer of York. Along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife and daughter Karen.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Metz Chapel, York. No viewing or visitation as it was Ervin’s wish to be cremated. Memorials may be directed to his family for later designation.
