BEATRICE – The 30th annual Southeast Nebraska all-star volleyball and women’s and men’s basketball games will take place on the Southeast Nebraska Beatrice Campus at the Truman Center.

The games are scheduled for Friday, June 14 with the all-star volleyball game at 7:30 p.m. and the following night, Saturday, June 15, the women tip off the two all-star games at 6 p.m. with the men to follow at 8 p.m.

The approximate boundaries for the all-star games are Highway 81 to the West; Highways 2 to 6 the North; the Iowa/Nebraska/Missouri border to the East and the Kansas border to the South.

The teams are divided by Highway 77 and will be identified as the East and West teams. Over eighty schools were invited to make nominations for the squads.

Each team was chosen by nominations submitted by Southeast Nebraska coaches. The nominations were then screened by this year’s all-star coaches and selected players were sent invitations to play in the game.

The 30th Annual Coaches/Media Golf Classic will be held at Hidden Acres Golf Course on Friday, June 14. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the SCC Storm Center Café with 18-holes of golf to follow starting at 12:30 p.m.

The local schools which have athletes competing will be on the west team.

Local athletes competing include: West Volleyball : Olivia Casper, Heartland; Katherine White, Exeter-Milligan. West Women’s Basketball: Kate Bergen, Heartland; Hadley Wiemer, McCool Junction; Brooklyn Gierhan, Centennial; Kate Jansky, Exeter-Milligan, West Men’s Basketball: Carson Scott, Fillmore Central.
