FAIRBURY – Andrew Clark did some damage with the bat in his hands Wednesday night in Fairbury.

Clark ripped an RBI single and double, as well as a two-run single to help the York Cornerstone Seniors beat Fairbury 13-3 on the road.

The win puts the Seniors’ record at 9-11. York will look to continue the solid play on Sunday when it hosts a doubleheader against Waverly at 1 and 3 p.m. at Levitt Stadium in York.

York held a tight 5-3 lead at the end of the fourth inning but extended that edge to 9-3 in the top of the fifth. During that stretch, Bradyn Heiss hit a two-run single to put York on top 7-3. Shortly after that, Tyler Wright smacked an RBI single that brought home Heiss and Dana Hobbs crossed home plate thanks to an error to give his team a 9-3 lead.

York tacked on four more runs in the seventh with two-run singles from both Clark and Wyatt Cast.

Bradyn Glebe was the starting pitcher for York. Keelan Osentowski saw relief action.
