The York Knights 12-U baseball team went 5-1 this past weekend at the Nebraska State AA Silver Baseball Tournament played in Aurora.

The Knights’ first game of the tournament was their only loss. York would finish its six games with some amazing offense and defensive numbers to win its first state championship.

Offensively, York scored 82 runs on 72 hits with 58 RBIs. Defensively, the Knights only allowed 44 runs on 45 hits while its pitching staff only allowed 16 walks.

During the tournament, York defeated the Pioneers 13-7; the Omaha Suburban Stampede Green 16-7; the NBA Titans Blue 15-7; the Pendragons 20-4 and the Omaha Suburban Stampede Gray 12-11 in the title game.

York ended the season with a record of 29-19-1.
