OMAHA – Twelve softball players from the York News-Times’ coverage area earned postseason honors Saturday when the Omaha World-Herald named its all-state teams.

Four York Dukes made the lists, including seniors Hannah Norquest and Morgan Peterson, junior Alexis Linder and sophomore Meghan Rowe.

Norquest made Class B second team as a pitcher. She had a record of 21-9 this season. Rowe, Peterson and Linder were Class B honorable mention.

Six Centennial Broncos were named, too, including seniors Lilly Cast, Shelby Ziegler and Aly Timmerman, juniors Aurora Junge and Chaylee Tonniges and sophomore Daylee Dey.

Cast was Class C first team as a pitcher. She owned a 17-9 record in the circle this season. Ziegler made Class C second team as an outfielder. Ziegler batted .385. Dey, Timmerman, Junge and Tonniges were all Class C honorable mention.

Two Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan Panthers earned honors, including senior Josie Kresak and junior Jacy Schlueter.

Kresak, who batted .462, was Class C second team as an outfielder.

Schlueter was Class C honorable mention.
